2026–2027 UPSL Academy Competition Calendar
Fall 2026 Season
September 12 – November 22, 2026 | Regular Season
The Fall Season features league play, player development, and competitive matches as clubs compete for qualification into the postseason. Teams will play a full schedule while preparing for championship competition.
November 20–22, 2026 | State Playoffs
The top-performing teams from each division will advance to the State Playoffs, where they will compete for the State Championship and the opportunity to continue their postseason journey.
December 2026 – February 2027 | Regional Cups
Following the State Playoffs, qualifying and invited teams will participate in Regional Cup competitions, facing top clubs from across the region. These events provide additional high-level competition, player exposure, and preparation leading into the Spring Season.
Spring 2027 Season
March 6–7 – May 8–9, 2027 | Regular Season
The Spring Season continues league competition with clubs competing in home and away matches while developing players and preparing for the postseason.
May 21–23, 2027 | Semifinals & Championship Weekend
The top teams from each division will advance to Championship Weekend to compete for the UPSL Academy Spring State Championship.
June 2027 | Regional Tournaments (Dates to be Announced)
Spring champions and qualifying clubs will advance to Regional Tournaments, where they will face the best teams from across their region for the opportunity to compete at the highest level of UPSL Academy competition.
Elite Competition Across Texas & Beyond
Compete Against the Best in Texas
Alpha Futbol competes in one of the strongest competitive environments in the country. Throughout the season, our teams travel across Texas to face top clubs in some of the state's largest soccer markets, including San Antonio, Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley (RGV). This level of competition exposes our players to a variety of playing styles, high-level opponents, and challenging match environments that prepare them for the next level.
Regional Cup Competition
Following league play, qualifying teams have the opportunity to compete in Regional Cup tournaments, where champions and top-performing clubs from across the western United States meet to determine regional supremacy. Players gain valuable experience competing against clubs from states such as:
California
Arizona
Nevada
Washington
Oregon
These tournaments provide a unique opportunity to test your abilities against some of the nation's most respected soccer programs while representing both your club and your state.
National Championship Pathway
The journey doesn't end at the Regional Cup. Successful teams advance to the UPSL Academy National Championships, where they face elite competition from across the United States. National events bring together top clubs from regions including:
Florida
Georgia
New York
New Jersey
Pennsylvania (Philadelphia Region)
Washington, D.C., Maryland & Virginia (DMV)
And other qualifying states from across the country.
Competing on the national stage gives players the opportunity to experience championship-level soccer, increase their exposure to college and professional scouts, and compete against the best youth talent in America.
Professional Scouting & Player Pathway
Get Seen by Major League Soccer Scouts
The UPSL Academy provides players with direct exposure to Major League Soccer (MLS) organizations through official scouting showcases and talent identification events. Throughout the season, players have the opportunity to be evaluated by professional academy staff from clubs such as Austin FC and the Houston Dynamo, giving them a genuine pathway toward the professional game.

Austin FC Talent ID Showcase – Austin FC scouts evaluated players across the U13–U17 age groups during the official UPSL Talent Showcase held at Parmer Stadium in Austin, Texas.
